NEW DELHI: Fun, frolic and laughter - Filmmaker Sajid Khan
returns with all this in his two Housefull - The Dirty Dozen. He promises to
take audiences on a round laugh when the film hit the screens Friday.
The director, who claims to make films from audience point
of view, has teamed up with Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh, known for their
comedic timing. And to spice up the cast, he has also roped in John Abraham,
Asin Thottumkal, Jacqueline Fernandez, Zarine Khan, Shreyas Talpade and Shazahn
Padamsee.
If this does not excite you, there is a team of old players
like brothers Kapoor - Randhir and Rishi and dancing star Mithun Chakraborty
1980. Boman Irani, known to tickle funny bones of hearing, is also an integral
part of the cast.
In short, The cast of the film is described as dirty dozen
who are there to tell the story of four crook - Sunny Sharma (Akshay), Max
Mahadkar (John), Jai Bose (Shreyas) and Jwala Chaudhary (Riteish). All four of
them can not stand each other, but they are forced to live under one roof.
The fun begins when they get married to four beautiful
girls. Sunny married Henna (Asin), Max marries Bobby (Jacqueline), wife Jai
Parul (Shazahn) and Jwala drama-queen marie JLo (Zarine).
Just when they thought to live a happy married life, their
life takes a turn when their respective fathers-in-law arrived on the scene.
Every father thinks he has the richest son in law, every
woman thinks she has the richest husband, while each of his son-in-law
pretended to be the richest. All couples are invited to the house of their
father-brother, and it turns out they live in JLo's father JD (Mithun
Chakraborty) mansion.
As they enter the house, as a "Jolly" joins their
names. This is so because each father-in-law thinks her son-in-law is called
Jolly and kicks off a trip so hilarious situations and circumstances full of
confusion.
Done at a budget of around Rs.45 crore, the film was shot in
Burghley House, Stamford Lincolnshire. The director also shot the film in
London and Krabi, Thailand, and he made a press worldwide.
Sajid Wajid-musical duo have composed songs full of life.
There is also a serial number sung by Mamta Sharma and is
climbing the popularity chart, and Malaika Arora Khan has become even more
interesting by making it.
The film got into legal trouble when singer Abhijeet
Bhattacharya accused the film composers of plagiarism.
There has been a case in Bombay High Court against the
T-Series head honcho Bhushan Kumar, Sajid Wajid, and producer Sajid Nadiadwala
to raise the tone of one of his songs from his album "Tere Bina" for
his song "Do You know. "
Housefull 2 is yet to release, Sajid has already begun work
on the third installment of the film.
