Ahmedabad: Gujarat Technological University (GTU) had examined the first half of freshmen engineering in November 2011, but has not yet declared the result. The National Students Union of India (NSUI) staged a protest against the long delay in the declaration of the result and demanded that the GTU announce the results at the earliest. GTU officials said that the result will be declared on Thursday.
Group of student leaders affiliated with the NSUI said it was ironic that GTU is fast to implement proposals and GRS on the Internet is so slow to announce the result. Students who appeared for the first semester examinations are now preparing for the second semester examinations. "These students have no knowledge on how they have fared in the first semester examination and are awaiting the result," said a leader NSUI.
